چکیده

The article continues a series of critical reviews the species composition powdery mildew fungi (Erysiphaceae, Helotiales, Ascomycota) Ukraine and their distribution within country. This deals with section Microsphaera genus Erysiphe. These are distinguished by fruiting bodies that have non-mycelioid appendages dichotomously branched apices. A list 36 recorded in regions is provided, as well key for identification. most common frequently occurring many E. alphitoides, astragali, berberidis, divaricata, ehrenbergii, euonymi, ornata var. europaea, palczewskii, syringae-japonicae, trifoliorum. Other species, such baeumleri, elevata, euonymicola, friesii, grossulariae, hyperici, hypophylla, ornata, penicillata, pseudoacaciae, robiniae, syringae, tortilis, vanbruntiana, viburni, were less often. Erysiphe azaleae, begoniicola, corylacearum, deutziae, gorlenkoi, guarinonii, magnifica, magnusii, platani, rayssiae, russellii, symphoricarpi known only from some localities. number invasive mostly relatively recently, last hundred years. Of them, vanbruntiana become Ukraine. platani can massively develop certain or recently registered corylacearum apparently becoming widespread Carpathians, ravenelii at present occur Kyiv. Some few localities; however, Kyiv magnolias commonly infected magnifica. At same time, North American syringae has disappeared since East Asian fungus syringae-japonicae started to spread on lilac. indigenous robiniae also ceased Caragana arborescens, being completely replaced palczewskii.

Notes on two powdery mildew fungi (Erysiphe magnifica and E. corylacearum) from Iran

Two powdery mildew species have been collected from Iran. For the first time, Erysiphe magnifica on Magnolia sp. was identified from Iran based on morphological and molecular characteristics. Erysiphe corylacearum was collected for the second time in the country and reported for the first time from Guilan province. There are some polymorphisms in ITS-rDNA sequences of...

Fungi Associated With the Powdery Mildew of Buxus Trees in Gorgan Landscape

In this research, for taxonomic studies and identification of the fungi associated with the powdery mildew(Oidium euonymi- japonici) of Buxus trees (Euonymus japonica), the infected leaves were collected during autumn and winter 2012-2013 in Gorgan (Golestan province -Iran). The samples after washing and surface sterilizing, were cultured on PDA medium(with boxwood extract). Then based on availab...

Molecular phylogeny and evolution of the maple powdery mildew (Sawadaea, Erysiphaceae) inferred from nuclear rDNA sequences.

To understand the phylogenetic relationships and evolution of the powdery mildew genus Sawadaea (Ascomycota: Erysiphaceae), obligate parasitic fungi of maples, we performed molecular phylogenetic analyses based on 47 ITS and ten 28S rDNA sequences. Seven major clades of Sawadaea, each represented by powdery mildew specimens collected from a single or a small number of closely related sections o...
